Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in an ICU setting and demonstrate proficiency in handling various neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with neurological disorders such as TBI, SAH, SDH, tumor resections, status epilepticus, and other related conditions.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, neurological status, and other critical parameters.
• Participate in EVD insertions, a-line insertions, intubation, and central line insertion.
• Administer CRRT and provide care for patients post-TPA and thrombectomy procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individual care plans.
• Float to other ICU and PCU floors as needed to meet facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
• Ability to manage and respond to critical patient situations effectively.
• Optional COVID vaccine, with reporting required by the facility.

Additional Information

• Shift: Night shifts (3×12 hours).
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:2.
• Weekend requirements may vary based on unit needs.
• Guaranteed hours may vary with the possibility of cancellations up to three times during a 13-week assignment.
• Block scheduling options may be available but are not guaranteed.
• Locals are not accepted within a 100-mile radius.
• Pursuing a pending license is accepted.
• Requests for time off greater than seven days must be approved.
• Must be comfortable managing ICP and interpreting dysrhythmias.
