Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Position Details

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide high-quality healthcare in a fast-paced emergency setting. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, including weekends and holidays as necessary. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients in the emergency department.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care effectively.
• Maintain accurate records through Epic charting system.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in emergency medicine.
• Current SC nursing license or Compact license required prior to start.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS required.
• Experience with Epic EHR system is mandatory.
• Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.

Other Requirements

• No on-call duty is required.
• Candidates should be open to block scheduling requests.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
• Facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks.

COVID-19 and Emergency Response

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, which runs from June through November, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed.

Scrubs and Parking

Scrub color is royal blue, and there are no parking fees for staff members.
