NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our team on a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension. This position requires candidates to be available to cover holidays and have minimal to no time off requests. The selected candidate will float to other departments as needed and may be required to travel to multiple locations within a 12-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in the NICU.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting findings accurately.
• Educate families regarding neonatal care, discharge planning, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience required.
• Experience in a Level IV NICU is mandatory.
• Proficient in using EPIC for electronic health records.
• Recent travel experience as a nurse is required.

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred.

Shift Details

This position will consist of day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, from 07:00 to 19:00.

Additional Information

Responsibility for floating to other departments and potentially traveling to sister locations within a 12-mile radius is required.
