Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse within the Acute Care Float unit. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care across multiple medical and surgical units, as assigned by the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs.

Shift and Hours

• Shift: Night shift, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Hours: 12-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break

Patient Care Ratios

Patient ratios will vary based on unit needs, typically maintaining a standard of 1:6.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Certifications Required: Current BLS certification
• Licensure: Must possess an active, unencumbered TN or multi-state RN license
• Cerner EMR Experience: Required

Weekend Requirements

Every other weekend is required.

As a float RN, you may be assigned to the following units:

• 12E – Medical comfort care
• 11E – Surgery and GI
• 10E – Trauma
• 8E – Medical
• 7S – Observation
• 5E – Medical
• 5W – Oncology
• 4S – Medical nephrology
• 9E – Ortho
• 7E – Joint Replacement/Ortho
• 6S & 6E – Neuro
• 9H – Vascular
• 8H – Pulmonary
• 7H – Cardiac Surgery
• 4H – Cardiac

Compliance

Scrubs must be Royal Blue.
