Acute Care Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Float Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care across various acute care units, with assignments determined by the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs.

Shift Information

• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Duration: 12-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Patient Ratios

Typical patient ratios may vary depending on unit needs, with an average ratio of 1:6.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• BLS certification required
• Active, unencumbered TN (or multi-state) RN license is mandatory; pending licenses are not accepted
• Cerner EMR experience required

Floating Units

The selected candidate will float to the following units:

• 12E – Medical Comfort Care
• 11E – Surgery and GI
• 10E – Trauma
• 8E – Medical
• 7S – Observation
• 5E – Medical
• 5W – Oncology
• 4S – Medical Nephrology
• 9E – Ortho
• 7E – Joint Replacement/Ortho
• 6S & 6E – Neuro
• 9H – Vascular
• 8H – Pulmonary
• 7H – Cardiac Surgery
• 4H – Cardiac

Compliance Details

• Scrubs are Royal Blue.

• Block scheduling is not accommodated.
