Registered Nurse (RN) – ER

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in the Emergency Room.
• Provide nursing care for adult patients experiencing STEMI, Stroke, and Level 2 trauma.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring effectively.
• Administer conscious sedation as needed.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system.

Shift Details

• Type: Night Shift
• Hours: 4×12-Hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required.
• No call or float requirements.

Patient Care Ratios

• Non-Critical Patients: 3:1 (4:1 during callouts)
• Critical Patients: 2:1
• Medical Boarders in ED: 5:1

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

• Required Certifications:
  • TNCC
  • ACLS
  • NIH
  • MOAB
  • BLS
  • PALS
• Preferred Skills:
  • ENPC

Orientation and Training

The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive orientation program lasting 36 to 48 hours to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Uniform Requirements

Scrubs: Navy Blue.
