Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including Intermediate Care, Progressive Care, and Medical-Surgical units. This position requires flexibility and the ability to work across multiple units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Float between Intermediate Care, Medical-Surgical, and other medical units as required.
• Occasionally assist with patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a score of at least 80%, including 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, Stepdown, Telemetry, ER Holding, and Cardiac Telemetry is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position will primarily involve night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts weekly. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required based on the needs of the facility.

Patient Ratios

• Intermediate Care: 1:4 ratio
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry: 1:5-6 ratio

Additional Information

Employees are required to have the Flu vaccine. Scrubs are not provided; the designated color for scrubs is Caribbean Blue. Clinicians will report to the staffing office for float assignments.
