Surgical Technologist – Tier 5 GYN/GU/Transplant

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our surgical services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology with a focus on GYN, GU, and transplant procedures.

Shifts

This position includes day/evening 12-hour shifts, typically from 0640 to 1910, Monday through Friday, with potential variations. There may also be an opportunity to work shifts from 1040 to 2310 once per week. Additionally, there is a requirement for both weekday and weekend on-call duties.

Orientation

New hires will undergo a two-week orientation consisting of five 8-hour shifts from 0640 to 1510.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment during surgeries.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Handle instruments and supplies according to sterilization protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of scrub experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Successful completion of a surgical technologist program, or equivalent experience in the Surgical Technologist role may be considered in lieu of program completion.
