ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients requiring advanced therapeutic interventions and close monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring ventilation and intricate medication management.
• Titrate pressors and administer IV medications per established protocols.
• Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as hypertension urgency, sepsis, or cerebrovascular accidents (CVA).
• Utilize critical care skills to monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Support COVID-positive patients in accordance with health guidelines and protocols.
• Manage potential surgical and cardiac ICU patients when necessary due to bed availability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• Ability to work a night shift schedule.
• Strict 75-mile radius restriction must be adhered to.
