Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a busy hospital environment, with specific expertise in the management of post-procedural cardiac patients.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Stepdown
• Number of Beds: 29
• Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:4 days through 2300; 1:5-6 nights after 2300
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Cardiac medical and surgical conditions, including post-cath lab interventions and cardiac surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac and tele patients.
• Titrate medications such as Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Dobutamine.
• Manage patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient needs and ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, with support from a central telemetry unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a busy hospital setting.
• Experience with post-procedural cardiac patients, including the management of TR band compression devices and chest pain.
• Current certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA).

Schedule & Expectations

• Shift: 12-hour nights.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
• Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday.
• Flexible scheduling options available, including a 36-hour work week.

Additional Information

• RNs are responsible for patient management and have access to respiratory therapy services 24/7.
• Nurse Aides available for support with a favorable patient-to-aide ratio.
• Unit orientation includes one shift of HR onboarding and one shift on the unit for training.
