Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position requires a strong background in circulating and scrub duties within the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while supporting surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting, assisting with pre-operative and post-operative procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient surgical operations.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Participate in patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately in accordance with established protocols.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in circulating and scrub roles during surgical procedures.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, or strong experience for first-time travelers.
• Active RN license and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certification as a CNOR is preferred.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Willingness to float within specialty and peri-operative services, including pre-op and PACU as necessary.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining a flexible approach to shifting duties.

Work Schedule

This position entails a rotating shift schedule consisting of 2×8 and 2×12 shifts, with flexibility to cover weekend shifts and holiday requirements. On-call duties are also part of the responsibilities, with a commitment to pre-scheduled coverage.
