Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Operating Room
• Shift Length: 10 or 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Years of Experience: 2 years required
• Required Certifications: BLS Certification

Shift Notes

• Shifts available: 7A-5P, 7A-7P; options for 36 or 40 hours per week with on-call duties.
• Travelers may select shifts based on availability.
• ASAP start required; availability through June 1st.

Unit Overview

• Number of Surgical Suites: 23
• Average Number of Cases per Day: 75
• Common Case Types: Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Cardiac, and Exploratory Laparoscopy.

Job Requirements

• Must possess experience in scrubbing and/or circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases.
• Must have experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Weekend rotation required; must be available for on-call duties.
• Charge Nurse available on all shifts.

Call Expectations

• All travelers are expected to take the same amount of call as permanent staff.
• Call response time is 45 minutes.
• Travelers will participate in the call rotation system and may be assigned to circulate various types of cases, depending on the needs of the unit.

Schedule Flexibility

• Self-scheduling is allowed within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed.
• Weeknight call requirement: 3-4 per 4-week period.
• Weekend call requirement: 1 shift per 4-week period.
