Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for an assignment in a high-risk labor and delivery unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.

Assignment Details

• Assignment Length: 13 or 26 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 3×12 or 4×12 Nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 Hours per 2 weeks
• Weekend Requirements: Required every other weekend
• Floating Requirements: May float to similar units if necessary

Unit Information

This position is located in a high-risk labor and delivery unit with the following specifications:

• 10 OB Triage Rooms
• 10 Labor Delivery Recovery (LDR) Rooms
• 3 Operating Room (OR) Suites
• 4 Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Rooms
• Average Daily Deliveries: 7, up to 14 with inductions and high-risk antepartum
• OB Triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients daily

Qualifications

• Licensure: Must have an active Registered Nurse license for Alaska
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of labor and delivery experience required
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
  • NRP
• Charge Experience: Preferred or willing to be trained in charge responsibilities
