Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

This position entails providing expert nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. The focus will be on delivering comprehensive care that caters to various cardiovascular diagnoses, including but not limited to sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease. You will also care for cardiac patients undergoing IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vasoactive drugs and antiarrhythmic therapies.
• Perform thrombolytic therapy and defibrillation/cardioversion.
• Conduct thoracentesis and manage cardiac telemetry monitoring.
• Execute EKGs and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
• Provide patient care that meets the highest standards of nursing practice.
• Float to various units or facilities according to patient care needs.

Schedule

The position involves a night shift schedule of 3×12 hours from 1900 to 0730. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with flexibility based on the needs of the unit.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of South Carolina.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC software.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in critical or acute care settings, with the possibility of considering candidates with 1 year of relevant travel experience.

You will work with patients facing critical cardiac issues, necessitating high-level clinical judgment and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
