NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-acuity neonatal care and be willing to float to other pediatric units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonates, including those with complex conditions.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3, with occasional 1:4 during surge periods.
• Administer IV vasopressors and manage ventilators.
• Work collaboratively in a mixed acuity unit, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
• Document patient care and treatment using Cerner electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
• 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience is required.
• Certification in BCLS and NRP is mandatory.
• Pending licenses may be accepted.

Schedule & Requirements

• Work 12 shifts per contract, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• No local candidates within a 100-mile radius will be accepted.
• Block schedules are not guaranteed.
• Approved time-off requests of greater than 7 days are required.

Additional Information

• This position does not require on-call duties.
• Travelers must observe a 6-month break after 4 consecutive assignments or upon reaching the one-year mark.
• Overtime is applicable for hours exceeding 48 in a week.
