Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Job Description

A Registered Nurse is needed to support the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care areas. The role includes working with mothers and their newborns in a supportive environment, averaging 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month. The position may require taking on charge nurse responsibilities after completing training as needed.

Experience Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care within a healthcare setting. Additional experience may be required based on specific circumstances.

Required Certifications

• American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO
• BLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Advanced FHM (RNC-EFM may be substituted for AWHONN FHM)

Shift Information

This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, with the expectation of flexibility to cover day shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Holiday coverage is required.

Traveling Responsibilities

Traveling nurses may be required to float to other departments as needed, which may involve taking a patient load if qualified, or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.
