Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our obstetrics (OB) unit. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional care in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and ensure the necessary instruments and supplies are ready for the healthcare team.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to facilitate smooth surgical operations.
• Participate in patient care and education, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
• Manage and monitor surgical tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of surgical operations and procedures.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is mandatory.
• Previous experience in an obstetrics (OB) setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule

This position offers a guaranteed 37.5 hours per week, consisting of five 8.5-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch break.
