Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of dialysis care and managing patient care. The RN will provide education to patients, supervise Dialysis Technicians, adapt treatment plans based on standing orders and care plans, monitor patient outcomes, administer medications, participate in quality improvement projects, and collaborate with other members of the patient care team including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists. This is a chronic, in-center position that involves covering multiple locations within the region, with a work schedule that can vary any day from Monday through Saturday.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state nursing board or a Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Previous dialysis experience is required.
  • Prior experience in acute or ambulatory nursing is preferred.

Work Schedule:

RNs will be scheduled to cover various locations. Shifts will range from 10 to 13 hours for AM or PM schedules, depending on staffing and operational needs. Flexibility to work any shift is essential.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Advances in Women’s Health Nursing (AWHONN)
  • STABLE Program certification
  • Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)
  • CCHT and BONENT certifications may also be applicable.
