Radiologic Technologist
Job Description
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, CT, and MRI, as per physician orders.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Accurate positioning of patients to obtain high-quality images.
- Review and evaluate images for quality assurance.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Document patient information and imaging procedures accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Registered Technologist status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Valid state license or certification as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overnight shifts.
