Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room (ER) to provide exceptional care for patients in acute medical situations. This role involves working with diverse patient populations and managing various medical emergencies.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts from 3:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Occasional shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM as needed
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• No on-call duties

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ER, including those experiencing trauma, medical emergencies, and critical health conditions.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC system for documentation and patient management.
• Administer life-saving interventions and medications as required.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Room setting required.
• New travelers are welcome to apply.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS.
• Experience in facilities with STEMI and Stroke care protocols is essential.
• Experience in special care populations, including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health is preferred.
