Certified Surgical Tech (CST)

Job Description

The Surgery Department specializes in surgical treatment across a wide range of clinical conditions. The Certified Surgical Tech (CST) will be part of a skilled surgical team, primarily functioning in a scrubbing capacity, and may assist in circulating duties within the surgical suite. This position requires maintaining aseptic techniques and providing a conducive environment in the OR suite while preparing for surgical procedures.

Shift Details

• Monday to Friday
• 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• 40-hour work week

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• Available for weekend shifts as needed
• Required to work during holidays when needed
• MUST work during key holiday periods: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

On Call Requirements

• On-call duties are required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current CST experience
• Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required
• High proficiency in orthopedic procedures, total joints, and neurosurgery is essential
• Experience in scrubbing for general, orthopedic, neurology, and endoscopic procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in stressful situations
• Travelers must have their own vehicle

Additional Information

All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission to ensure approval. No more than five days of RTO can be accepted. Scheduling requests made after submission may not be accommodated.
