Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves the potential to float to various units, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department, to care for a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical telemetry unit.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs, ECG rhythms, and medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Work at least every other holiday to meet operational needs.

Work Schedule

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Rotating shifts may be adjusted as needed to accommodate hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in medical/surgical telemetry nursing.
• Current and valid Ohio Nursing License or a Compact State License is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is required.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition tests and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation is mandatory.
