Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients within our healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing and be prepared to float to various units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to assigned patients in the medical/surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry, identifying potential issues early.
• Assist with assessments and care planning in accordance with established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical staff.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts available: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in medical/surgical telemetry nursing.
• A valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross are mandatory.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, achieving an acceptable score on both.
