Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine laboratory procedures, ensuring quality results and contributing to patient diagnosis and treatment. The successful candidate will operate various laboratory equipment and maintain laboratory supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory procedures using analyzers, spectrophotometers, colorimeters, and other equipment.
• Ensure quality results by running standards and controls, and verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and advanced quality control troubleshooting.
• Provide accurate test results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying them using microscopic techniques.
• Prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions by conducting blood group, type, and compatibility tests.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Prepare reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Perform other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Active certification from ASCP.
• Recent experience in blood banking is required.

Work Schedule

Shifts are Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with additional hours required every other weekend from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Please note that on-call duties may be required.
