Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

The Emergency Department provides care for patients with a wide variety of needs, ranging from non-critical to emergent medical conditions, including urgent mental health care. All patients are welcome, whether they arrive walking in or by emergency transport. All staff members in the Emergency Department are certified to care for critical cardiac and trauma patients, including children.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess and prioritize patient needs, ensuring timely interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Manage and administer medications and treatments as necessary.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Experience/Education/Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency setting.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required.
• CEN certification preferred.

Work Schedule

This position requires varied shifts, including coverage every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
