Emergency Department Border Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Border Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing, with the ability to float to various units as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to border patients in the Emergency Department or Acute Services Unit (ASU).
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, ensuring timely intervention for lethal rhythms.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist with the integration of care across Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80%, including a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Schedule

This position offers a 3×12-hour shift from 07:00 to 19:30, with no required weekends or holidays. There is no on-call duty associated with this role.
