Position Overview
This role involves working in a 30-bed acute care unit specializing in Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4.
Schedule
- Shift: Nights – 4×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
Time Off
- 40 hours of time off may be approved
- Christmas time off requests cannot be approved
Requirements
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Must adhere to float policies
- Epic experience is required
- Virginia nursing license pending is acceptable
