Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care experience and demonstrate proficiency in both adult and pediatric cases. This position requires flexibility and the ability to float between various units as needed.

Scheduling and Shift Details

• Shift: 3×12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: Weekdays and some weekends
• Orientation Start Dates: Orientations are held every other Monday.
• Guaranteed Hours: 72-80 per pay period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients in critical care and general care settings.
• Administer treatments and monitor patient response to therapy.
• Float within various units and facilities to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Required Certification: RRT or CRT
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant clinical setting.
• National Certifications Required: ACLS, PALS, and NALS for pediatric cases.
• BLS Certification: Required.
• Fit Test: Candidates must complete a fit test for approved respiratory masks prior to employment.
• License: Candidates must have a clean state license, with pending licenses accepted.

Additional Information

• Floating between sister facilities may be required based on patient care needs.
• Candidates should expect to adhere to specific RTO restrictions, requiring submission two weeks prior to the next scheduling cycle.
• Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are encouraged to apply, with some exceptions for those within 75-100 miles.
• Documentation of flu vaccination is required, unless a medical exemption is provided.
• Covid vaccination is not required for this position.

Work Environment

The Respiratory Therapist will be working in a short-term acute care facility that is recognized as a Level 1 Trauma Center and a major teaching hospital. The environment is dynamic, supportive, and focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
