Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in assisting patients to develop and restore functional independence while adhering to state and federal regulations and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as directed in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with patient and family education regarding therapeutic processes and goals.
• Communicate patient status and any changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state COTA license or the ability to obtain licensure.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills to effectively support patients and collaborate with healthcare staff.
