Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering compassionate and high-quality care that centers around both the patient and their family. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with established hospital policies and nursing standards. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services provided and is expected to define, implement, and enhance practice standards and the care environment, all while promoting exemplary patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes diligently.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely according to hospital protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and wellness goals.
• Float to Med Surg as required and regularly as part of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care and ICU settings.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC).
• Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry nursing.
• Proficient in IV insertion and care for the adult population.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record systems.

Additional Information

Candidates with a temporary Minnesota nursing license will be considered provided they have applied for a permanent license and possess the temporary license at the time of application.

Working every other weekend is required.
