CT Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using computed tomography equipment while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.

Shift Information

• Shift: Nights
• Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Follow hospital protocols for exam routines, ensuring the production of quality studies in an efficient and timely manner.
• Operate all applicable equipment and request training in specific areas as needed.
• Warm up CT scanner and perform quality assurance checks before use.
• Complete CT procedures effectively, including patient communication and preparation of the exam room.
• Adjust and manipulate images to meet required specifications, including windowing, contrast, and reformatting.
• Maintain knowledge of all scanners, contrast injectors, PACS, and related technologies.
• Select appropriate scanning levels based on specific field of scan and selected anatomy.
• Ensure accurate identification of scans and requisite information is recorded properly.
• Manage administrative tasks related to procedures, including tech edits and room hygiene.
• Report malfunctions of equipment to the Coordinator or designated personnel.
• Communicate preliminary findings as necessary to physicians and other relevant departments.
• Retrieve prior exams for review by radiologists and manage CD requests for patients as needed.
• Stock necessary supplies and maintain a clean operational environment.
• Perform clerical duties to support departmental operations and maintain workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Licensure in Massachusetts.
• Graduation from an AMA approved educational program in Radiological Technology.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in CT scanning preferred.
• Experience with GE VCT and Evo/Evolution equipment is advantageous.
