Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will provide critical care and support within various surgical specialties, including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics. The ideal candidate must possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and management of the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Be flexible to float within the facility and assist in Outpatient as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience prior to travel.
• Experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic specialties is required.
• Current RN licensure and relevant certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Scheduling and Commitments

• Shifts will be primarily day shifts, working 3×12 hours (06:30 – 19:00).
• Weekend and on-call responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process.
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed.
• No holiday RTO will be approved during peak periods (11/23-11/29 and 12/21-1/3).

Compliance and Orientation

• Full compliance is required to ensure timely start; non-compliance may lead to a delay in the beginning of orientation.
• Non-billable orientation hours will be determined by contract length.

Locals are accepted and will receive the same rate. Candidates can expect a clinical review to determine fit and alignment before a final decision is made by management.
