Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Stepdown care to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional patient care for those undergoing cardiac procedures and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize clinical judgment skills to assess and treat patient responses to health conditions.
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including those undergoing various procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers.
- Manage care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients during their critical post-operative period (18-24 hours post-op).
- Provide specialized care for patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies.
- Collaborate with a research department managing national clinical trials within the cardiac specialty.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Stepdown care.
- Proficiency in cardiac care required.
- Comfortable interpreting EKGs.
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed.
- Active Michigan nursing license in good standing.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

- 36-hour guarantee.
