Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role is essential in assisting patients in developing and restoring functional independence in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in educating patients and their families regarding therapeutic processes and progress.
• Communicate patient status and any concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills.
