Physical Therapist

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for patients requiring physical therapy. This role ensures adherence to the standards of Physical Therapy Practice Act while delivering technical therapy care and interventions to a designated patient population.

Responsibilities

• Collect pertinent data from patient records and collaborate with other healthcare providers as necessary.
• Independently assess a variety of patient types as assigned.
• Recognize additional patient needs during evaluations and utilize sound judgment in decision-making regarding testing and interventions.
• Interpret evaluation results and establish relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals for patient care.
• Regularly reassess patient progress in accordance with departmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify appropriate equipment for patient treatment, discussing options with patients and their families.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Current LPT License in the state of Texas or a compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA only).

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
