Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuro and body procedures, with proficiency in operating Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of neuro experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Experience with PACS and contrast administration.
• Competency in performing all interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Stents
  • Angioplasty
  • Angiograms
  • Nephrograms
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Biopsies
  • Drainages
  • Vascular studies
  • Venous access
  • Neurological studies
• Certifications: BLS and ARRT required; ARRT Advanced Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson systems preferred.
• Experience in outpatient, OR, ER, and Level I trauma settings preferred.

Job Details

Shift: First shift with staggered start times between 0700 and 0830 for 4×10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Days off will vary each week.

Call Requirement: Rotating primary and backup call coverage, with primary call approximately every 4 weeks and backup call every 9 weeks.

Weekend Requirement: Participation in weekend and evening/nights call rotation required.

Patient Diagnoses

The majority of patients will be adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents. Expertise in neuro procedures, including stroke interventions, is essential.

Special Procedures and Unit Details

The daily case load ranges from 13 to 17 procedures. Hospital orientation will occur during the first week, requiring availability for daily classes.

Scrubs

Scrubs will be provided for the duration of the assignment.
