MRI Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in MRI techniques and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans on patients, ensuring the highest quality images are obtained.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety while conducting procedures.
• Handle the preparation and administration of contrast media as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines and protocols.
• Utilize PACS for image management and data entry utilizing EPIC system.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist required.
• Traveler Experience: First-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Skills:
  • Experience in adult outpatient settings.
  • Proficient in musculoskeletal imaging, especially for the hip, bony pelvis, knee, and spine (cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic).
• Certifications: Current certifications in BLS and ARRT MR are required.
• Preferred Skills: Knowledge of radiation safety and the ability to start peripheral IVs.

Job Details

• Average Daily Census: Approximately 25 patients
• Rooms: 2 MRI rooms available
• Shift: 5 days per week, with two alternating shift options (07:00 – 15:30 & 09:00 – 17:30).
• RTO: A maximum of 7 days off is permitted.
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: None

Additional Information

Scrubs are not provided; navy blue scrubs are required.

Travelers must be fully available and have no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes during onboarding and orientation. Missing orientation sessions may lead to a delayed or canceled start.
