Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is responsible for providing exceptional care to patients during the labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to work effectively during night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) settings.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout the labor process.
• Administer medications and interventions as per protocols and physician orders.
• Assist with deliveries and manage neonatal care immediately post-delivery.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and infant care practices.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery with postpartum care is required.
• Ability to work 36 or 48 hours per week, primarily night shifts.
