Cath Lab Tech

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our team. This position requires proficiency in coronary diagnostic interventions and the ability to support multiple labs throughout the day.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 4×10-hour day shifts (0700-1730), with variations as procedures demand completion.
• Daily caseload: 4 to 5 labs per day with 2-3 Cardiovascular Technologists (CVT) per lab, totaling approximately 20-25 cases daily.
• On-call requirement: One weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) every 7 weeks, along with additional evening calls weekly.
• Availability on holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• National certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process).
• Must possess a South Carolina license (SCRQSA).
• Radiation badge required: Must be provided by the agency as facilities do not supply radiation badges for travelers.

Special Requirements

Experience in a Cath Lab is mandatory. Candidates should be proficient in coronary diagnostic procedures, intervention scrub techniques and monitoring during procedures.

Miscellaneous Information

• Open to block scheduling upon manager’s approval, based on unit needs.
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of application.
• Guaranteed hours: The facility reserves the right to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.
