Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to pediatric patients, including neonates and infants.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Shift: 3×12 hours, alternating between day and night shifts (0700-1930 and 1900-0730)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for pediatric patients with various diagnoses including prematurity, feeding issues, and cardiac defects.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in family education and support initiatives.
• Floating within specialty and sister units as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active MD state license.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required. First-time travelers are accepted.
• Must have experience with pediatric patients, tracheostomies, and ventilators.
• Certifications Required: BLS, CPI. ACLS certification is preferred.

Patient Care

Responsible for managing a patient load with a ratio of 1:3, potentially up to 4 patients for those with lower acuity levels. The role involves caring for patients ranging from neonates to older pediatric patients with various complex health issues.

Work Environment

Shoulders the responsibility of working every other weekend and holidays as scheduled. Clinicians are expected to wear scrubs of any color or print.

Special Equipment

• Experience with tracheostomies and ventilators.
• Familiarity with PICCs, central lines, TPN, and intravenous (IL) therapies.
