Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position offers an opportunity to join a flexible nursing pool, floating between various medical and surgical units. The role requires adaptable nurses who can provide quality patient care in diverse settings.

Shift Information

• 12-hour night shifts: 1845 to 0715
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours

General Job Duties

• Flexibility to float between medical and surgical units
• Implement patient care procedures and protocols

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must possess a current Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment
• General certifications: ACLS and BLS/BCLS required
• Preferred additional certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Unit Information

• Medical Unit: Bed capacity of 77 beds
• Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute): 18 beds
• Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds

Nurse to Patient Ratio

• Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights
• Laulima Unit: 1:6
• Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs, is required.

Training and Orientation

Orientation programs are provided for each unit to ensure familiarity with specific protocols and equipment.

• Pyxis
• Wound vac
• Chest tubes
