Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team. This position requires the ability to adapt to various units, primarily focusing on Med-Surg Telemetry, and is essential for ensuring high-quality patient care across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various Med-Surg Telemetry floors and participate in overflow areas as needed.
• Conduct assessments and implement patient care plans in compliance with medical guidelines.
• Administer medications and monitor patients’ vital signs, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Participate in staff development and continuous education activities to enhance professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
• Ability to pass a Telemetry Competency Exam.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS Certification required.
• Documented participation in professional development activities.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Additional Information

This position includes a rotating shift with weekend and holiday availability required. Orientation sessions are held biweekly. Candidates must pass a Telemetry Competency exam as well as ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding. These tests are administered via remote meeting tools. Candidates will have one attempt to achieve at least an 85% passing score, and preparation is strongly encouraged.
