Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Float

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for an Acute Care Float position. This role involves providing essential nursing care across various medical units based on staffing needs and patient acuity. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care and effectively collaborating with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float to diverse units including Medical Comfort Care, Surgery and GI, Trauma, Medical, Observation, Oncology, Medical Nephrology, Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Neuro, Vascular, Pulmonary, and Cardiac.
• Deliver nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels, adhering to established protocols and best practices.
• Conduct thorough assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records in Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient health and safety.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.

Shift and Schedule:

• Full-time position with night shifts: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including a 30-minute lunch break.
• Work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Requirement to work every other weekend.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting.
• Active, unencumbered Tennessee or multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Cerner EMR experience is essential.

Compliance and Attire:

• Scrubs must be Royal Blue.
