Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an Acute Care setting. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and is ideal for those looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit.
• Monitor patient health and execute care plans effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with various procedures and administer medications as prescribed.
• Participate in patient and family education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Document patient care in accordance with facility policies using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, including at least 1 travel assignment.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) from AHA.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Shift Details

• Nights: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: As needed

Unit Information

• 44 beds with a staffing ratio of 1:5, possibly 1:6.
• Nurse Aides are available at a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10.
• General orientation lasts 1 week, including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation.
• Floating to all acute care and cardio units may be required.
