Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in emergency situations. This role involves interpreting medical care plans, conducting patient assessments, and ensuring safe and competent nursing practices.

Essential Functions

• Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, document, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
• Consult and collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans based on patients’ responses and conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licenses and Credentials: Required to have a Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state.
• Experience: Clinical nursing experience of 0-1 year required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with practical nursing principles and skills for providing patient care and treatment.
• Knowledge of necessary care for respective age groups.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
