Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position involves the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of nursing care for patients in the Labor & Delivery specialty. The Registered Nurse (RN) will adhere to organizational policies and uphold professional standards of nursing practice. Responsibilities include utilizing the professional nursing framework to ensure high-quality patient care, making judgments based on specialized knowledge and nursing skills, and assessing data to develop appropriate care plans for patients of various ages and developmental stages.

Shift Information

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend schedule: To be determined by the facility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience.
• Willingness to obtain Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 48 hours of receiving an offer.
• COVID vaccination required; declines not accepted.
• No scheduling restrictions; must be able to work the facility’s schedule.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Local candidates accepted; no radius rule applies.

Certification Requirements

• Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association

State License Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland.
• License verification must be current within 30 days.
