Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (RT(R)/CVT)
About the Position
This is an opportunity for a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join a dynamic team within an acute care setting. The position involves working in a Level III Trauma Center equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 0630 – 1730
- Call: 1-2 nights per week and every 4th weekend
- Weekend rotation: Call only
- Orientation: Comprehensive training provided, including a buddy system during the first week
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, including left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, and CTOs.
- Participate in electrophysiology procedures such as Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes.
- Scrub and operate equipment simultaneously while monitoring patient status during procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, intensivists, and nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Licenses: Current BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS Certification, and Washington state license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Cath Lab, with travelers needing prior travel experience unless having 2+ years in the Cath Lab as non-travelers.
- Skills: Proficient in the aforementioned cases; monitoring experience is preferred.

The department is supported by a dedicated team that includes:
- Scheduler
- Charge Nurse / Lead Tech
- Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
- Hospitalist and Intensivists on-site
- Emergency Response Team as needed
Technology and Equipment
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC
- IV pumps: Alaris
- Medication dispensing: Pyxis
- PACS: Picom
- Hemodynamic monitoring: Merge – experience is preferred
- C-arm: GE Alea – experience not required
