Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care for a variety of medical conditions, including diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding, renal failure, and post-surgical care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain adherence to safety protocols to protect patient health and reduce the risk of infections.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient satisfaction standards.

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience with at least 1 travel assignment.
• 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical specialty is preferred.
• Experience in high-acuity and fast-paced settings is essential.

Shift Details

• 12-hour shifts, with a schedule of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Every other weekend rotation required.

• Maintain professional standards, including appropriate grooming and attire.
• No artificial or Shellac nails are allowed to minimize infection risk.
• This role may involve working with patients requiring continuous monitoring and sometimes requires flexibility in tasks and assignments.
