Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team for a 17-week contract during the winter planning period. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and be comfortable with a variety of prenatal and postnatal responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cervical examinations and assist in antepartum and labor management.
• Perform amnio infusions and administer epidurals as needed.
• Monitor fetal well-being through effective fetal monitoring techniques.
• Administer IV therapy and manage Pitocin during labor.
• Circulate during C-section procedures and assist in newborn deliveries.
• Perform APGAR assessments and educate mothers on breastfeeding practices.
• Provide comprehensive post-partum care for mothers and newborns, supporting the transition to discharge.

Qualifications

• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring are required.
• Strong experience in Labor and Delivery, including the ability to catch and receive babies.
• Preferred experience in all aspects of post-partum care.
• Scrub experience is a bonus; scrub-trained RNs may be utilized as needed.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is strongly preferred.
• Multilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Russian or Spanish, are preferred.

Facility Information

• 20 total beds: 12 in Labor & Delivery, 8 in Postpartum/Antepartum, and 6 in Level II NICU.
