CT Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CT Technologist to join our imaging services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computed tomography and be able to work independently in a dynamic setting.

Shift Information

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Shift: Nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Required if they fall during the scheduled rotation

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging studies including CT scans of the abdomen, pelvis, and cardiac scoring.
• Conduct X-rays, primarily orthopedic, along with fluoroscopy as needed.
• Operate and maintain CT and X-ray equipment.
• Ability to manage trauma and code stroke protocols.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and patient care standards.
• Support other imaging modalities as needed, specifically X-ray and CT.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Required Certifications:
  • ARRT (CT)
  • BLS Certification
  • Certified CT Technologist – ARRT (CT)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (R)
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Experience with X-ray procedures is preferred.

Department Information

• Department consists of: 1 X-ray machine, 1 portable X-ray, and 1 CT machine.
• Daily average: 24 X-ray studies and 24 CT studies.
• Use of EPIC for EMR and McKesson for PACS software.
• No in-house radiology supervisory presence during night shifts; management available for support.
• Radiologists are present onsite Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with after-hours consultations through external radiology services.
